This week is fully dedicated to glaciers. Visitors will learn more about the work Swiss and Kazakh glacier scientists do side-by-side to monitor the change and the decline of glaciers in both the Tien Shan Mountains and the Alps.
In this two-day session, the progress Kazakhstan achieved as well as the challenges the country still faces are discussed in two public lectures and workshops.
The 2017 Astana expo adventure comes at an end and it is time for the Swiss Pavilion to close. More information will be provided about this event later.

The photographs by Dieter Seitz tell of a journey that starts in the traditional Nomads’ Land. The 3-day course gives a technical and theoretical overview over DNA technologies and their application in various fields.
A high-level Dialogue: “Options and solutions for a clean energy future” (working title) with Erik Solheim, Bertrand Piccard and the Swiss ambassador to Kazakhstan Urs Schmid.
The interactive workshop will introduce professionals from universities and companies to the software and to renewable energy system design in general.
